Key Responsibilities
Develop, design, test, and maintain custom mobile and web applications using ASP.NET MVC. Extensively use Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Web API, and Web Services for web applications using SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, and .NET Remoting, Bootstrap CSS framework.
- Design and develop reusable automation framework components to validate enterprise web and mobile applications built using ASP.NET MVC, ensuring functional accuracy, scalability, maintainability, and long-term reliability across multiple software releases.
- Validate service-oriented architectures by testing Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Web APIs, SOAP-based Web Services, WSDL service contracts, UDDI service discovery mechanisms, and .NET Remoting to ensure seamless communication between application layers and integrated enterprise systems.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API testing to verify application behavior, business workflows, authentication mechanisms, session management, and exception handling across distributed enterprise environments.
- Maintain and continuously enhance automation assets by optimizing reusable framework libraries, synchronization mechanisms, and execution strategies to improve automation stability, reduce maintenance effort, and support continuous software delivery.
Collect the software requirements from the customer and develop the application as per their requirement using Microsoft technologies and frameworks like C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, TypeScript, Jira, and Confluence.
- Analyze customer requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and technical documentation maintained in Jira and Confluence to understand business processes, application architecture, and testing requirements before automation development.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Software Developers, and Solution Architects to clarify functional requirements, identify testing scope, evaluate automation feasibility, and prepare comprehensive validation strategies.
- Review applications developed using C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, and TypeScript to identify business-critical workflows, system dependencies, integration points, and reusable automation opportunities.
- Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive automated test scenarios that validate functional behavior, business rules, user interface interactions, API communication, and database transactions throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Evaluate and research the products and technologies related to software.
- Research emerging Microsoft technologies, automation frameworks, browser automation tools, API testing platforms, and software engineering methodologies to improve software quality and automation efficiency.
- Evaluate the compatibility of new technologies with existing enterprise applications by considering system architecture, project requirements, maintainability, scalability, and long-term supportability.
- Perform technical feasibility analysis of automation tools and framework enhancements to optimize regression execution, improve automation coverage, and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Recommend technology improvements that enhance application performance, framework maintainability, software quality, and overall development efficiency while aligning with organizational standards.
Design and develop the activities and procedures related to activities and maintenance.
- Develop standardized testing methodologies, automation execution procedures, framework maintenance guidelines, and validation processes to ensure consistency, reliability, and repeatability across enterprise software testing activities.
- Design reusable automation libraries, configuration management processes, object repositories, and shared utility components that simplify framework maintenance while improving scalability, code reusability, and execution efficiency.
- Establish maintenance procedures for updating automation scripts in response to application enhancements, software releases, infrastructure changes, browser updates, and evolving business requirements while minimizing regression risks.
- Continuously track automation execution trends, framework stability, maintenance activities, and defect patterns to identify improvement opportunities that enhance software quality and reduce long-term maintenance effort.
Write high-quality code to meet customer requirements and that meets code standards as per SonarQube.
- Review and optimize automation code by eliminating duplicate logic, improving exception handling, enhancing modularity, and implementing reusable design patterns that improve framework maintainability and execution performance.
- Utilize SonarQube to perform continuous code quality analysis by identifying code smells, security vulnerabilities, maintainability issues, and technical debt, ensuring automation assets adhere to enterprise coding standards.
- Collaborate with development teams during code review activities to improve automation quality, maintain consistent coding practices, and enhance long-term framework scalability across multiple software releases.
Design, develop, and implement critical applications for the .NET environment using .NET 6, .NET Core, Angular, jQuery, and JavaScript.
- Design and implement scalable automation solutions for validating enterprise applications developed using .NET 6, .NET Core, Angular, jQuery, JavaScript, and C#, ensuring business functionality is accurately verified throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Develop automated validation for complex business workflows, dynamic user interface components, asynchronous processing, API integrations, and backend transactions while supporting enterprise application reliability and performance.
- Create reusable automation modules capable of validating responsive web applications across multiple browsers, operating systems, and deployment environments while improving automation coverage and reducing manual testing efforts.
- Continuously enhance automation architecture by implementing modular design principles, reusable framework components, and configurable execution strategies that support long-term maintainability and efficient regression testing.
Allocate the project work as per the client's requirement and budget.
- Coordinate automation testing activities by prioritizing validation efforts according to client business requirements, software release schedules, project timelines, technical complexity, and quality objectives.
- Estimate automation development effort, regression testing scope, resource utilization, and execution schedules to ensure testing deliverables are completed efficiently while supporting project milestones and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and technical teams to align automation deliverables with client priorities, budget constraints, and software release objectives without compromising software quality.
- Track testing progress, identify project risks, communicate execution status, and recommend mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery within approved timelines and resource allocations.
Design a backend database for the web application using SQL Server, Oracle DB, etc.
- Validate backend database functionality by executing SQL queries against Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database to verify transactional integrity, relational consistency, stored procedures, views, triggers, and business data accuracy.
- Analyze database interactions to ensure application transactions correctly process inserts, updates, deletes, and retrieval operations while maintaining data integrity across integrated enterprise applications.
- Verify database schema modifications, migration activities, indexing strategies, and data synchronization processes following software deployments to ensure consistent application performance and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with Software Developers and Database Administrators to investigate database-related defects, analyze query performance, identify data inconsistencies, and validate corrective actions through comprehensive database testing.

Test and deploy applications along with revising, updating, refactoring, and debugging code to improve the existing software using IIS, ReSharper and NUnit framework.
- Perform comprehensive functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing before and after software deployment to verify that enterprise applications satisfy business requirements and technical specifications while maintaining application stability.
- Support deployment validation for applications hosted on Internet Information Services (IIS) by verifying application configuration, service availability, authentication mechanisms, integrated APIs, and production readiness across multiple environments.
- Utilize ReSharper to optimize automation framework components through code refactoring, improved code organization, enhanced maintainability, and adherence to established software engineering standards and best practices.
- Execute automated test suites using the NUnit framework to validate newly implemented functionality, verify regression stability, analyze execution results, investigate failures, and ensure successful deployment of software releases.
Ensure the compatibility of websites with newer software and operating system versions.
- Validate enterprise web applications across multiple web browsers, operating systems, screen resolutions, and device configurations to ensure consistent application behavior, responsive user interface rendering, and seamless business workflow execution.
- Verify compatibility of applications developed using ASP.NET MVC, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Bootstrap following browser upgrades, operating system updates, security patches, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Perform cross-browser compatibility testing to identify rendering inconsistencies, client-side scripting issues, responsive design defects, and accessibility concerns that could impact application usability and customer experience.
- Collaborate with Software Developers to resolve browser-specific issues by validating corrective implementations and confirming consistent functionality across all supported enterprise environments.
Root cause analysis for application-related issues/problems.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis by examining automation execution reports, application logs, SQL query results, browser console messages, API request and response data, IIS server logs, and system-generated exception reports to accurately identify the source of application failures.
- Investigate complex issues involving application logic, backend services, Web APIs, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services, SOAP-based integrations, SQL Server databases, Oracle databases, and infrastructure dependencies to isolate technical defects and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Document comprehensive defect analysis within Jira, including technical observations, reproduction steps, execution evidence, screenshots, SQL validation findings, API responses, and recommended resolutions to facilitate efficient collaboration with Software Developers and DevOps Engineers.
- Validate implemented fixes by executing targeted functional, integration, API, database, and regression testing to ensure corrective actions fully resolve reported issues without adversely affecting existing application functionality.
Participate in the Build Release Management, giving builds, deploying them at the client side.
- Participate in Build and Release Management activities by validating software builds, reviewing release packages, coordinating deployment verification, and ensuring enterprise applications are successfully promoted across Development, Quality Assurance, Staging, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps Engineers, Software Developers, and Infrastructure teams to verify deployment configurations, application services, IIS settings, database connectivity, Web API integrations, and environment-specific configurations before and after production implementation.
- Execute comprehensive post-deployment smoke testing, regression validation, API verification, and database integrity checks to confirm successful implementation of software releases while minimizing production risks and business disruption.
- Analyze release activities, investigate deployment-related issues, validate corrective actions, and communicate release readiness, deployment status, and quality observations to technical stakeholders throughout the release lifecycle.
Understand the software lifecycle and determine the changes needed as per feedback and observations of the testing professionals on the uptime and efficiency of the production application.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to evaluate application performance, production stability, software quality metrics, testing feedback, defect trends, and operational efficiency throughout successive software releases.
- Analyze observations provided by Quality Assurance Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, production support teams, and end users to identify enhancement opportunities, optimize automation coverage, and improve enterprise application reliability.
- Assess production incidents, recurring defects, application uptime, automation effectiveness, and system performance to recommend framework improvements, regression strategy enhancements, and process optimizations that strengthen software quality and operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance application performance, reduce production defects, improve customer satisfaction, and support the operational stability, and organization's long-term software quality objectives.
